My experience is not short, but here goes. I kept experiencing reoccurring Urinary Tract Infections, each time, I called MD Plus and spoke with their 24Hr Physicians. After the same physician keep taking my calls and saw my building call history, he began to question my susceptibility to those infections. During my most recent call, the same physician suggested I see a Urologist, just to see what could be the cause. Well, I followed his suggestion, contacted a Urologist, and sure enough, I needed to have some tests done. It was soon discovered that I had an influx problem, which can be corrected by a surgical procedure. I got the procedure and have been UTI free since! Fortunately, my insurance company was able to cover the bulk of the costs, however, I was left with more than $5,000 out of pocket. Needless to say, my relief was short lived. Taking care of that $5,000 bill would certainly leave my financial situation up-side-down. I called MD Plus to see what options were available to me. During that call, I was reminded about my eligibility to participate in the Patient Advocacy program. Since I was left with over $1,000 of out-of-pocket expenses, I was able to submit my bills. Thanks to the Patient Advocacy agents, they were able to locate areas where my insurance company would cover more of my bill. After it was said and done, I was left with $500 to pay. I am so thankful for the MD Plus services; with having 24 hour access to physicians and access to other, amazing services, such as Patient Advocacy, I cannot express how much they came through for me when I needed them. Thank you
